St. George Trek

The United States Delegation of The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George in cooperation with the National Catholic Committee on Scouting organize the St. George Trek, a high adventure leadership program for Catholic Boy Scouts and Venturers. Designed to develop skills for leadership, as well as nourish spirituality, the program serves qualified youth from throughout the United States on a special journey along the beautiful trails of the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. Trained adult leadership is provided by The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George and the National Catholic Committee on Scouting.

The trek begins at the Madonna Retreat House in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where participants get to know one another, train, have fun, and pray. Then it's off to Philmont where they hike the Sangre de Cristo Range of the Rocky Mountains. While hiking, they experience a program that is designed to encourage the integration of morality, values, spirituality, faith, and scripture in their lives as Christian leaders. After the hiking portion of the Faith Journey, all return to the Madonna Retreat House for a closing Liturgy and Banquet. When participants return to their home dioceses, they can be expected to be more effective leaders and role models.
