Chicago Membership Receptions

Once again, the Order of St. George will sponsor a cocktail party for members and--especially--potential new members on Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at Trattoria Gianni, 1711 N. Halsted Street in Chicago. This event will last 1 1/2 hours, from 5:30--7:00 p.m. For those of you not familiar with the restaurant, it is approximately one block north of the North Avenue & Halsted Street intersection, and approximately two blocks northeast of the North & Clyburn subway stop. Valet parking is available for $10.00. Cost of the event will be $50.00/person. Checks should be made payable to the "S.M.C. Order of St. George."

This will be the second--and final--cocktail party the Order will host in the Chicago area, in preparation for the Order's upcoming Investiture, which will be held here in Chicago over the weekend of September 12--14, 2008. Members are encouraged to attend this event, and strongly encouraged to bring any remaining candidates to be put forward for Investiture.

Applications for the 2008 Investiture will be accepted through the end of April. So, this event will be the last opportunity for prospective members to gather with the area membership, while there is still a comfortable amount of time available to process applications.
